More than 50 Japanese academics and rightwing lawmakers are planning a new film about the "Nanjing Massacre." They say the film called The Truth of Nanking- as the city was then known-will challenge historically accepted version of the 1937 klilings. Historians estimate at least 150-thousand Chinese civilians were kiied by the Janpanese army and tens of thousand of Chinese women were raped.
